Description
Depart from San José's Tobias Bolaños Airport and head east over the La Palma Pass to Braulio Carrillo National Park. This park is known for its beautiful extension of cloud forest, waterfalls and river basins.
You will then head west towards Río Sucio over the towns of Cinchona and San Miguel de Sarapiquí to the Hule Lagoon. This lagoon is a volcanic origin and with unspoiled beauty.
Then, fly over the Rio Toro basin with its exuberant waterfalls and ascend over the outskirts of the Paos Volcano to the crater.
Fly over the Botos Lagoon, which is an extinct crater as well as the actual one which has a sulfurous lagoon. Don't worry! It is an active volcano but not a dangerous one.
Finally, back to the city of Alajuela and the Juan Santamiaría International Airport.
